Catanduanes Governor Patrick Azanza says aside from more food packs for evacuees, they need building materials for those whose homes were destroyed by Super Typhoon Uwan (Fung-wong)
ALBAY, Philippines — Returning to the ruins where their houses once stood, Catanduanes residents are pleading for help after Super Typhoon Uwan (Fung-wong) battered their province on Sunday, November 9.
Vivian Icawat and her neighbors from Barangay Baldoc in Pandan town had evacuated to their village’s day care center. When they returned home, they saw only only fragments of their houses as Uwan had swept away their entire village along with most of their valuables.
