TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sir, Missing sabungeros whistleblower Julie “Dondon” Patidongan has strongly denied allegations that he threatened News5 reporter Gary de Leon, who earlier reported receiving death threats following his coverage of the case.
The incident was also brought to the attention of the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP), which condemned the alleged threat and warned that it highlights the continuing risks and dangers faced by journalists in the country.
