Senator Robin Padilla has thrown his support for the return of Senate President Pro Tempore Panfilo Lacson as chairman of the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee, saying the powerful panel—long tasked with investigating corruption—had become a “Red Ribbon” because of politics and intrigue.
Padilla called for calm and unity in the upper chamber as senators continue to debate who should lead the committee amid ongoing investigations into alleged irregularities in multibillion-peso flood control projects.
